Bandera Electric Cooperative has planned system maintenance this week to improve its ability to serve members quickly and more efficiently. Members may experience a brief impact on software applications and phone service.
On Wednesday, August 18, database server maintenance will begin at 6 p.m. and is scheduled to last four to six hours. This process will impact all BEC software applications, including the myBEC mobile and desktop app.
Phone system maintenance is scheduled for Thursday, August 19, and is expected to last approximately 90 minutes. During this time, the automated system used to report outages will not be available, but members may still call and speak with a live dispatcher to report an outage.
Additionally, a planned update will disable the BEC online power outage map for approximately 30 minutes to an hour on Thursday, August 19.
