BEC's Annual Meeting to Return In-Person, Saturday, August 12, 2023
Bandera Electric Cooperative is excited to announce a return to an in-person format for its 84th annual meeting. The meeting will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Ridin’ the River Cowboy Fellowship, 5767 State Highway 173, Bandera, TX 78003. For members who cannot attend, livestreaming will be available. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. for registration.
Everyone who receives electric service from BEC is a member-owner of the cooperative and is invited to take an active part in the business of the cooperative by attending the annual meeting. Each year, the CEO and chair of the board of directors present the annual report and plans of the cooperative. A full annual report will be provided in advance of the meeting, and a condensed version will be featured in the August edition of Texas Co-op Power magazine.
BEC will conduct the election of directors for districts 1, 2 and 3 by mail, email and online. The directors are members of the community concerned with the issues members face every day because they face them, too. Please check your inbox and your mailbox for a ballot. Voting will begin July 17 at 8 a.m. and closes August 11 at 11 a.m. All members are eligible to vote for all directors and are encouraged to participate in the democratic cooperative process and in BEC’s board elections. The annual meeting provides an excellent opportunity to participate in the business of the cooperative, learn about energy efficiency programs, fiber broadband and future cooperative goals. BEC is dedicated to providing members with safe, reliable and affordable electric and other related services and encourages all members to take part in helping BEC improve how that service is delivered.

The prize(s) that may be awarded to the eligible winner(s) are not transferable, redeemable for cash or exchangeable for any other prize. All prizes must be redeemed in-person within 30 days of the Annual Meeting end date unless otherwise stated. If a winner cannot be contacted or is disqualified for any reason, BEC reserves the right to determine an alternate winner or not to award that winner’s prize, in its sole discretion. Each winner is solely responsible for paying any and all applicable taxes and duties related to the prize(s). For prize(s) valued at more than $600, winners must complete a 1099 before receiving their prize(s). Odds of winning depend upon the number of participants. Employees and directors of BEC and any other persons residing at the same household whether or not related are not eligible to win. Eligible members must attnend the Annual Meeting in person to be eligible for prizes drawn.
