GivingTuesday, the global generosity movement, has arrived once again, and Bandera Electric Cooperative is proudly taking part in this worldwide celebration of giving back. Founded in 2012, GivingTuesday has evolved into an annual event that encourages individuals and organizations to come together and make a positive impact in their communities.

At BEC, we believe in the power of generosity. This Giving Tuesday, we are thrilled to announce our commitment to supporting our local community by donating a total of $7,500 to nonprofit organizations that provide essential food assistance and resources to those in need. We recognize the importance of standing together to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors, especially during challenging times.

Our  donations will directly benefit the following nonprofit organizations:

·       Silver Sage
·       Utopia Food Pantry
·       Comfort Table and Food Pantry
·       Hill Country Family Services
·       Lakehills United Methodist Church

These incredible organizations go above and beyond to ensure that our community members have access to the resources they require, which might otherwise be lacking. Through our contributions, we aim to support their tireless efforts in providing vital food assistance and help make a positive impact in the lives of those they serve.

BEC encourages all of our valued members to join us in celebrating Giving Tuesday. Whether it's through a financial contribution or volunteering your time, we believe that everyone has something meaningful to contribute towards building a better world for us all. This is an opportunity to make someone smile, lend a helping hand to a neighbor or stranger, stand up for a cause or people you care about, or simply give back to those who need our assistance.

In the spirit of Giving Tuesday, we invite our community members to participate in acts of generosity not just today but every day, making the world a better place one gesture at a time.

Join BEC in spreading the spirit of giving and celebrating Giving Tuesday by making a difference in our local community. Your support, no matter how small, can have a significant impact.
