Community Involvement

Our Commitment to the Community

At Bandera Electric, we have a strong commitment and concern for our community. We live and work here … your community is our community and we are committed to making it a better place. At BEC, community involvement goes further than being a good corporate citizen. It means looking beyond our business to support other local businesses and communities. You are likely to see one or more of us in your child’s school teaching electrical safety, supporting community events or at your Chamber of Commerce meeting.

We take great pride in working for Bandera Electric Cooperative and serving you, our member-owners. We are faces you’ve known and partners you’ve trusted for over 76 years.

Cowboy Capital Stampede

Get ready to stampede! Not only is the Cowboy Capital Stampede fun for runners of all skill levels, but the proceeds benefit local charities in our service area. Last year, BEC raised more than $6,000.

Bandera Electric Cooperative will host the 2017 5K/10K Cowboy Capital Stampede on October 28 at the Bandera City Park.

This year, we invite all 501c(3) nonprofits in our service area to complete an application to be chosen as a benefactor of the race.  The 2017 application will be uploaded soon.  Deadline for applications is September 1.
