As part of our ongoing system improvements, BEC contractors will be performing pole inspections and tree trimming in the Medina Lake area. Employees of Texas Utility Inspections and Pannell contracting tree service will be performing this work. The project will begin April 4 and will last approximately 4 months.

As contractors, Texas Utility Inspections and Pannell contracting tree service have credentials and vehicle decals displaying the BEC Logo. Inspecting poles and clearing rights-of-way is a part of routine maintenance on the cooperatives system.  Crews may need to access your property in order to complete this work. If the gate to your property is normally locked, and does not have a BEC lock on the chain, or if you have any questions about this project, please contact us at 866-226-3372. Thank you for your continued cooperation.

Protecting Your Trees. Protecting Yourself.

We all enjoy the shade and beauty of our trees, but branches too close to overhead lines can create hazardous conditions and cause power interruptions, especially during severe weather. And, as if storms aren’t enough to worry about, did you know that tree sap is an excellent conductor of electricity? This makes even the slightest contact between trees and power lines a fire hazard.

BEC is here to help. When you see trees growing near our lines, you can request our free tree trimming service.
