For International Women's Day on March 8, we at Bandera Electric Cooperative would like to take a moment to recognize the female force that helps our cooperative operate efficiently and serve you, our member-owners.Women are at the center of your co-op’s success.
The theme of International Women’s Day 2026 is Give to Gain, which “emphasizes the power of reciprocity and support,” according to the IWD campaign. “When people, organizations and communities give generously, opportunities and support for women increase.”
The women of BEC work in management, member services, engineering, technical support, human resources, accounting and many other essential roles that keep the power on. Their dedication is critical to the cooperative’s smooth operation.
On this day, we also acknowledge the many women who make up the membership of the cooperative. We’re proud to power their homes and businesses.
