The holiday season is a time for connection, kindness, and community—and Bandera Electric Cooperative is embracing that spirit through its support of Giving Tuesday.
What began in 2012 as a simple idea has grown into a global movement that inspires people everywhere to give back and make a difference. This year, BEC is proud to join millions around the world in celebrating generosity and community impact.
To mark the occasion, BEC has donated $7,500 to local nonprofits dedicated to providing food and essential resources to families in need. Among the organizations receiving support are Silver Sage, Lakehills United Methodist Church, Comfort Table and Food Pantry, Hill Country Family Services, and Utopia Food Pantry. Each of these groups plays a vital role in ensuring no one in our community goes without the basic necessities, especially during the holidays.
BEC also encourages members to take part in Giving Tuesday and beyond by finding ways to support causes close to their hearts. Whether it’s contributing financially, lending a hand through volunteering, or simply helping raise awareness, every effort has the power to make a lasting impact.
