On March 13, Bandera Electric Cooperative had the privilege of participating in Bandera County Ag Day, an event dedicated to educating local students about the industries that keep our community thriving.
Representing BEC Fiber, Evan highlighted how fiber-optic technology is bridging the digital divide in rural communities, keeping them connected, empowered, and thriving. Meanwhile, Kevin, one of our skilled linemen, provided an inside look at all things electricity, demonstrating the hard work and expertise that goes into keeping homes, farms, and businesses powered.
This hands-on experience allowed students to see firsthand how energy and agriculture go hand in hand, shaping the future of rural communities. Events like these not only educate but also inspire the next generation to explore careers in essential fields like line work and broadband technology.
