Bandera, TX — Bandera Electric Cooperative (BEC) is pleased to announce it has been named a winner of the 2026 Best Places to Work in the large employer category by the San Antonio Business Journal. The official ranking of the winners will be announced at an award ceremony in July.
The San Antonio Business Journal surveyed area companies to assess workplace factors such as employee culture, training opportunities, retention and innovation. Employee responses were gathered and evaluated, with 17 large employers making the list of winners.
BEC’s nearly 150 employees are united by a shared commitment to service, community and improving everyday life for the cooperative’s members. Every employee plays an essential role in delivering reliable service and supporting the communities BEC serves across the Texas Hill Country.
