If you do not prepay for additional electric service before your account balance reaches zero, BEC’s automatic meter-reading system will remotely disconnect your meter at 10:30 a.m. that day and it will remain disconnected until a payment is made and your balance reaches a minimum credit of $25. To restore service, your payment must bring your account balance to a minimum credit of $25. Once BEC receives your prepayment and the minimum balance is met, the meter will reconnect automatically.
