Any homeowner, landlord, or commercial property owner that is a BEC member who meets the following criteria may participate:
- New BEC members who are exempt from paying a consumer deposit when establishing electric service are eligible for the program.
- No more than one late payment on a BEC electric bill within the last 12 months.
- No more than one returned check in the last 12 months.
- No history of service disconnection for non-payment within the last 12 months.
- Member must have an internet connection (modem) located in the home/business for the Apolloware installation.
- A member must not have received electric bill assistance within the last 12 months.
No credit score or annual income is required since the Energy Saver Program Charge is tied to the meter and not the member. Landlords are eligible for all mission as long as the BEC service location is in their name while they owe an Energy Saver Program Charge. Commercial members must meet same criteria as residential members plus have 24 months of electric billing history with BEC at the service location. There are different ways to sign up.
