BEC recently presented The Comfort Education Foundation with a $2,500 donation for teacher classroom enhancement project grants at Comfort ISD.

The Comfort Education Foundation is a newly formed nonprofit to support academic and innovative programs at Comfort ISD. The foundation’s mission is devoted to providing resources, support and enrichment opportunities to cultivate the hearts and minds of CISD students.

The foundation’s goals are to encourage all students to work at their highest potential, support teachers in developing innovative programs, recognize staff for exemplary teaching, and foster community support for Comfort ISD. The foundation also aims to partner with the community to provide increased awareness and support opportunities to local teachers and students.

Funds from the foundation are utilized to support and encourage programs and resources directly used in the classrooms to allow students and staff to work at their highest potential.

Teachers submit grant proposals to the foundation that outline their project, resources needed, goals and objectives. A volunteer board of community members, business owners and parents choose the proposals that are funded, and award the grants directly to the teachers.

Bandera Electric is committed to the leaders of tomorrow and is proud to support local education foundations. We encourage members and their children to work hard, follow their dreams, and find new and innovative ways to better the future of our community.

Nonprofit organizations can apply for a BEC donation, sponsorship or BEC Foundation project grant at any time, and we encourage our members to support these nonprofits when possible. To learn more about donation and grant opportunities, visit BanderaElectric.com/CharitableGiving.
