The Bandera Electric Cooperative Board of Directors recently appointed Annegreth Niemann to its board as the interim District 5 Director. The District 5 Director represents Medina, Vanderpool, Utopia, North Tarpley and Turtle Creek areas.

Niemann’s career spans the private sector in business and trade, in large international public organizations and in the legal profession, holding positions from secretarial to management and ownership and, in her second career, as a lawyer.

"At this time of my life, after years of business experience, I’m honored to work alongside the current directors of the BEC Board for the delivery of services to and improvement of life for the BEC membership,” said Niemann.

A native of Denmark, Niemann and her husband have made Texas their adopted home since 1985. The couple plans to spend their retirement years in Tarpley where construction is nearly complete on their new home.
Niemann said she’s excited to serve the members of BEC and thinks her business and legal experience will serve her well in this new role.
