BEC to Hold Virtual Annual Meeting August 13

Members with a billing email address on file will receive a link via email to register for the virtual meeting. Members can also sign in to their myBEC account online or in the myBEC mobile app to register. Once registered, members can attend the meeting via an internet-connected device or call in to the meeting using the infor-mation provided in their registration confirmation email. Members are encouraged to download the Zoom desktop or mobile app prior to the meeting.

Each person receiving service is a member-owner of the cooperative and is invited to take an active part in the business of the cooperative by attending the annual meeting. Each year, the CEO and board chair present the annual report and plans of the cooperative. A full annual report will be provided in advance of the meeting on BEC’s website. The annual meeting recording will be made available at a later date on BEC’s website and YouTube channel.

BEC will conduct the election for directors by mail, email and online for directors of districts 7, 8 and 9. Voting closes August 12 at 11 a.m. All members are encouraged to participate in the democratic cooperative process and in BEC’s board elections. Visit BanderaElectric.com/Directors to learn more.

Members who attend the annual meeting and/or vote in the director election will be eligible to win a prize. More than $8,000 in prizes will be distributed, and winners will be randomly selected during the livestream after the regular business of the meeting has concluded. Members who complete the post-meeting survey will be entered to win additional prizes.

The annual meeting provides an excellent opportunity to participate in the business of the cooperative and learn about energy efficiency programs, fiber broadband and future cooperative goals. BEC is dedicated to providing members with safe, reliable and affordable electricity and other related services and encourages all members to take part in helping BEC improve how that service is delivered.

If you have questions about the annual meeting, please call 866.226.3372 and select option 3.
