Members have the opportunity to make a difference in their community by voting for their favorite nonprofit in the BEC service territory in the 2022 BEC Foundation Members' Choice Contest.

The BEC Foundation board has selected four nonprofit finalists based on its charitable giving guidelines and predetermined criteria. The organizations chosen for the 2022 contest are as follows:
  • Hill Country Mission for Health
  • Bandera County 4-H
  • Keep It Real Beautiful
  • Comfort Table and Food Pantry
Members will be able to vote for the winning nonprofit organization via email beginning April 15–May 15. The winning organization will receive a grant of up to $5,000. Members who vote in the contest will be entered to win a 20-ounce BEC Foundation tumbler and T-shirt. Members will receive an email with a unique link from BEC to vote in the contest.

“We hope this contest will help increase member engagement with the BEC Foundation, improve the quality of life for members and better serve the community as a whole,” said Toba Wright, BEC Foundation chairman.
