Christopher "Chris" Blakemore

District 7 Director

Chris Blakemore was appointed to the board in April 2020 as interim District 7 Director.

Early in his career, Blakemore worked in finance in the healthcare industry before transitioning to management of Information Technology for multi-hospital organizations. He held the position of Associate Chief Information Officer at CHRISTUS Health for twelve years, and retired from the position of Chief Information Officer for Good Shepherd Health System in Longview, Texas in 2017.
 
Mr. Blakemore and his wife Sheila have been BEC members since 2000. Originally from Missouri, they moved to Texas in 1985 and lived in Dallas, Austin and San Antonio before moving permanently to Mico in 2005. He holds a Bachelor of Business from Central Missouri University and a Master of Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington.
