Our Community Coat Drive Has Ended!
Thank you to all of our members who opened their hearts and donated coats during the month of November! 262 coats were collected and will be distributed in December to those in need.
How to Give
Through Friday, November 16, 2018 donate new and gently used coats to any BEC office or approved donation location. No coat is too big or too small—coats of all sizes are needed, including those for infants and smaller children. All donations will be given directly to those who need them most.
Gently used means no stains, rips, tears or fraying. Please consider donating coats to other places if you cannot donate them to our drive.
About Our Coat Drive
When that winter wind starts to make the mercury dip here in the Texas Hill Country, you’ll need a good coat to stay warm. For some of us, however, reaching for a warm coat isn’t quite so simple. That’s when the hearts of our BEC members shine their brightest.
BEC is asking for your help this season. We will be collecting new and gently used coats to give to those in need. Designated donation boxes are set up at our office locations in Bandera, Boerne, Comfort and Leakey.
“What makes living in this part of Texas so very special is our genuine concern for community,” said Michelle Schott, BEC distribution operations specialist. “When a neighbor needs a hand people don’t ask if they can help, they just get up and help.”
