UPDATE 3/11/26 9:05 AM: Initial assessments indicate severe storm activity affected the Leakey Substation, with early indicators suggesting lightning may have struck at or near the facility. Crews worked through the night and continue to evaluate the equipment. With assistance from utility partners, BEC has deployed a mobile unit to help restore service as quickly and safely as possible.

UPDATE 3/10/26 8:27 PM: Due to the severe weather moving through our service territory, the Leakey & Concan area is experiencing an extended outage. At this time, restoration is expected to take through the night and into the day on Wednesday as crews work to safely assess and repair extensive damage.
