Wilson New BEC Director for Lakehills Area

June 9, 2006 – The Bandera Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BEC) board of directors recently selected Jack Wilson as a new board member to fill the unexpired term of Lee E. Boulden, District 7. Boulden passed away January 17, 2006. The board interviewed a number of candidates before making a final selection.

According to the BEC Bylaws, Wilson will serve as director until the position term comes before the Membership in May 2007. There are nine directors on the board serving three-year terms and each represent Members within their district.

“We are very pleased to have Jack Wilson join us as a member of the BEC board of directors. He comes to us with an impressive resume of experience and knowledge that will help him represent the Lakehills area well,” said Bobby Waid, CEO/General Manager. “We welcome his input as BEC faces many challenges during this time of energy market change and local growth.”

Wilson has lived in Lakehills since 2003 after moving to the area from Mississippi with Dorothy, his wife of 27 years. He served fourteen years as a board member of the East Mississippi Electric Power Association in Meridian, which is also a cooperative. He is currently the CEO of Rohmann Services, Inc., a government service contract firm headquartered in San Antonio, which employees 175 people in ten states.

Prior to his current position, he had a long and distinguished career in the US Air Force. He served as a pilot and earned the rank of Lt. Colonel. He was honored with the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with seven Oak Leaf Clusters.

He left the USAF and moved to Mississippi in 1976 to take care of his ailing father and to manage the family farm. In 1981 he returned to part-time military service until 1994 when he retired. He then worked closely with the military in a computer business before coming to Texas.
