At Bandera Electric, we take our commitment to the communities we serve seriously.  In 2010 we have several amazing opportunities for area youth. 

Ten $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to area high school seniors and currently enrolled post secondary education students.  Eligible students should submit an application and essay.  Applicants must be an active Member (or dependent of an active Member) and their primary residence must be served by Bandera Electric.  To view additional eligibility information and download an application, visit the Scholarship portion of our website.  The deadline for entries is March 31. 

The 2010 Youth Tour will be held in Washington, D.C. from June 10-18.  Bandera Electric will be sending four students on an all-expenses-paid trip to be part of this event.  Interested students will need to submit an entry form and application by February 26.  In order to apply, your parents or legal guardians must be Members of Bandera Electric.  Visit the Youth Tour portion of our website to view additional eligibility information and to download an application.

Texas Co-op Power magazine is holding a spring 2010 contest allowing high school students to shoot a YouTube video and win $1,500.  Go to www.texascooppower.com for additional details.
