There are a number of federal tax credits that are available for energy efficiency upgrades. Check the Federal Tax Credits for Energy Efficiency on the Energy Star website for a list of what is available. The BEC heat pump program pays licensed heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) contractors $200 for every 14 SEER or greater central heat-pump they install for BEC members in EXISTING HOMES.
